Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer news and rumours for the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Premiership!

Antonio Valencia to leave United

Manchester United veteran Antonio Valencia is set to leave the Old Trafford outfit in the summer, according to his father. The Manchester United star apparently wants a change in scenery after so many years in Manchester.

The Ecuadorian joined the Red Devils from Wigan in 2009 and has been a loyal servant of the club ever since. With over a decade of memories at Old Trafford, he is now playing in his last season at the cub.

And his father Luis Valencia, who is also his agent, has claimed that clubs like Arsenal and West Ham are looking to acquire his services in England while there is also interest from Italy and China.

“He definitely will not continue in Manchester,” Valencia’s father was quoted as saying. “He wants a change in the air and the club is not going to renew him either. Like everything in life, everything comes to an end.”

He added: “Arsenal, West Ham, Inter Milan and one club from China are options, but in football everything is changing.”

He then added that his son wants to play for a team that provides him a contract of two years so that it gives him peace and solidarity. He also finished off by revealing that his son wants to play for a club that compete for titles.

“He wants to choose the best option, but above all he wants to sign a contract for two years. Not for the money, but for peace and hopefully, he told me, be hired by a team that fights for important things.”

Former Manchester United star Adnan Januzaj has revealed that France star Paul Pogba has asked him about the environment in Spain. The Belgian rose through the ranks of the Manchester United academy and now plies his trade at Real Sociedad in Spain.

He revealed that he is great friends with Pogba as the duo have known each other since their youth days at Manchester United before adding that the former Juventus star has asked him about life in Spain. He also added that Pogba watches his matches while he witnesses the Frenchman in action for Manchester United.

He said: “We have known each other since we were very young, we have done everything together.

“I went to his house and he to mine. He asks me how Spain is and he likes to watch my matches. I also see his.”

Good news for Madrid or Barca?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Bale

Gareth Bale’s future at Real Madrid doesn’t seem all that clear and amidst talks of him leaving the Bernabeu, Manchester United seem to have come up as the most plausible next destination. However, current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to talk about a possible signing with regards to the Welshman.

According to Solskjaer, he can’t comment on a player that plies his trade at another club. However, he did add that there are a lot of factors to consider before signing a player that could potentially help a team.

“I can’t really comment on Gareth Bale or specific names because they’re property of other clubs,” he said.

“But we should look for quality players, definitely, and players who could improve us as a team. There’s so many factors you need to think about when you sign players.”

Griezmann and Eriksen

This is going to be a huge summer in the Santiago Bernabeu as the Galacticos are expected to make some big purchases. One of the names that have been mentioned is that of Christian Eriksen.

The Merengues are eying a move for the Spurs star to replace a former Tottenham man, Luka Modric, in the middle of the park. However, according to Daily Star, the Blancos will have to pay £200 million if they are to sign him.

And that, considering that Eriksen just has a year left in his contract, is insane.

Meanwhile, L’Equipe have claimed that Antoine Griezmann is considering leaving Atletico Madrid after the Spanish club were eliminated by Juventus in the Champions League. The Frenchman rejected a move to Barcelona and Manchester United to stay at Madrid last summer but could now leave the Rojiblancos and Barca could actually have him for just €120 million.
