Kovacic could be playing in the Premier League next season

Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer roundup for February 24, 2018. A good mixed day beckons us with a lots of good, bad and not-so-beautiful rumours in the ocean today. So here we go!

#5 Saman Goddos and West Brom

Strangely, West Brom are the club linked with two players today as they, along with Leicester City, West Ham United, Southampton and Brighton sent scouts to watch Ostersunds Saman Goddos against Arsenal, who assisted both the goals for his team in their 2-1 win at the Emirates, say ESPN.

Meanwhile, according to HaberTurk via Sports Witness, Trabzonspor might finally be okay to sell Okay Yokuslu in the summer. They rejected a €8 million bid for the player last year but might have to sell him now due to financial troubles.

As a result, the Baggies are ready to make a €8 million bid for the player.

#4 Liverpool and Chelsea

With so much money left to spend and a Coutinho-sized gap in midfield still unfulfilled, El Chiringuito claim that the Reds could be the next club of Dani Ceballos as the Real Madrid man is unhappy at the Bernabeu due to the lack of chances bestowed upon him this season.

Meanwhile, Don Balon state that Chelsea are going to make an attempt to stop Eden Hazard from going to Madrid. Indeed, the report claims that they are going to offer him €17 million-a-year in net wages in order to persuade him to stay at Stamford Bridge.

He, however, isn’t motivated by the money and is instead looking for a new challenge.

#3 The whispers around Bale and Kane

Gareth Bale could leave in the summer

The duo that represent two-thirds of the BBC trident could be out of the club in the summer now as, according to Don Balon, Gareth Bale could be used as a tool for three negotiations: David De Gea, Harry Kane or Eden Hazard.

Meanwhile, in this report from the same website, it is being claimed that Gareth Bale doesn’t want to go back to Tottenham “as a loser” and wants to join Manchester United instead. They, however, won’t pay more than £60 million for the Welshman, who was signed for £86 million back in 2013—a then world record fee.

#2 Tottenham

Martial is surprised say the reports

They seem to be a bit active here today as the North Londoners are being linked with Manchester United star Anthony Martial by RMC Sport. While Martial loves United, he is quite surprised that he has not yet been offered a new contract as his current one expires in June 2019.

The signing of Alexis Sanchez also may have had a role to play in the Red Devils’ reluctance. As a result, he could yet leave the club with Tottenham among the interested parties. Meanwhile, according to Don Balon, Madrid are willing to offer Kovacic or Benzema for Harry Kane.

Finally, on rumours about Doucoure, Mauricio Pochettino, as quoted by football.london, said: “I don’t know if the player says that or not. You know it’s a lot of rumours, many, many things happen around a football club like Tottenham. I cannot say anything about rumours.”

#1 Manchester madness

Chelsea FC v FC Barcelona - UEFA Champions League Round of 16: First Leg
Could Rakitic leave?

According to Diario Gol, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho called Samuel Umtiti regarding a potential move to Old Trafford. The Frenchman has a €60 million release clause that could be increased should his wages be doubled to €8 million a year.

Jose Mourinho is also interested in signing Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona, who have also been linked with Paul Pogba by the same outlet.

Meanwhile, in another report from the same site, Isco doesn’t want to waste any more time of his career and join a club where he is sure to be a starter. As of now, there are no concrete offers, but Manchester City are linked as the club most interested in him.

Finally, Don Balon state that Real Madrid are after Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, who seems to be open to the idea as it could be beneficial for him.
