Premier League XI of 2018-19 season till GameWeek 12

English Premier League is one of the most fascinating and watched football leagues in the world. It's been the most watched league because every game is different and on any given day, a lower-ranked team can beat the table topper. But in the current season, this hasn't been the case as clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City have remained unbeaten so far. City especially have been on fire under the guidance of coach Pep Guardiola and they are running riot. Liverpool and Chelsea aren't far behind as they also possess no-loss record in the campaign so far.

That being said, here we will look at the Premier League XI of the 2018-19 campaign, so far.

Alisson Becker

The wall

Alisson plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Liverpool. He was bought from Roma in the 2018 summer transfer window, for a whopping fee of 72.5m euros.

He has become an integral part of the playing Liverpool XI and filled the void of a world-class goalkeeper in the team. He has been brilliant on the post with 7 cleans sheets in 12 matches.

Marcos Alonso

Marcos Alonso plays as a left-back or a wing back for Premier League club Chelsea. He is not an out-and-out left-back but he is very good at playing the wing back role and doing a decent job in defence. He has scored a few crucial goals for Chelsea so far in the campaign.

Virgil van Dijk

Virgil van Dijk, 6′ 4″ tall, plays as a centre back for Premier League club Liverpool. He has been solid in defence and been the main reason that Liverpool hasn't conceded much via set pieces.

He has been good in winning aerial duels and reads the game well. He is on his way to becoming a legend for Liverpool if he continues to play in the same form.

Aymeric Laporte

Aymeric Laporte is the other centre back in superb form. He plays for Premier League club Manchester City. He was bought from Athletic Bilbao in the 2018 summer transfer window for £57 million. He is another defender who is not only good with the ball on his feet but also provides solidity at the back.

Kyle Walker

Kyle Walker plays as a right back for Premier League club Manchester City who bought him for £50m. He is a good defender with blistering pace. He is a regular starter for Man City and has the quality to become a world-class defender.

Jorginho

Jorginho plays as a defensive midfielder for Premier League club Chelsea. He has made an instant impact for Chelsea and tops the individual passing charts so far in the Premier League this season, racking up an impressive 1,186 passes after 12 games.

David Silva

David Silva plays for English club Manchester City as an attacking midfielder. Though he is 32 year of age and few might think that he is on a downward spiral, he seems rejuvenated under coach Pep Guardiola. He has filled the void created due to the absence of their talisman Kevin De Bruyne. His creativity is one of the reason that Man City have produced so many goals this season.

Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard plays for English club Chelsea. Since joining for Chelsea, he has been one of the most consistent performer and was critical in their 2 PL winning campaigns. He is one of the best dribbler in the world and has been often compared with the likes of Messi and Ronaldo. But he has never been deadly in front of the goal until this season. In the current season, it seems like things are about to change under new manager Maurizio Sarri. He has scored 7 goals in 11 appearances, in which he came on as a substitute in 3 matches.

Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling plays as a winger and attacking midfielder for Premier League club Manchester City. He is in red-hot form this season with 6 goals in 10 appearances.

Sadio Mané

He has been very good for Liverpool and there were rumours that Real Madrid were interested in signing him in the summer transfer window, after the departure of their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.
