It promises to be a summer of huge change at Real Madrid and according to reputed Sky Sports journalist Guillem Balague, Los Blancos have drawn up a shortlist of 5 superstars out of whom they are desperate to sign at least 2. Some of the biggest names and stars of world football are on this list. While buying these players is no easy task, Real Madrid are determined to do everything in their power to makes these dream signings a reality.

From strikers and forwards to goalkeepers, Perez is focussed on building a squad capable of dominating European football and we are set to watch some fireworks go off in the transfer window. If at all there is any club in the world which can dream to sign any of these players, it is Real Madrid. Without much ado, let us take a look at the 5 man galactico shortlist drawn up by Real Madrid.

#5 David de Gea (Manchester United)

The signing which is perhaps most likely to be completed this summer, David de Gea may well be standing between the sticks for Real Madrid next season. A long time target for Los Blancos, many reports have already claimed that personal terms have been agreed with the Spanish shot-stopper.

Keylor Navas has had some questionable performances this season and while his form has largely improved over the last few weeks, Zidane is still determined to have a true world-class goalkeeper directing his defence and backline.

The 26-year-old is arguably the most consistent goalkeeper in world football at the moment and a transfer fee of around £50 million should be enough to sign the Spaniard. With De Gea himself reportedly interested in a move to Madrid, the move which was prevented because of a faulty fax machine could finally come to fruition in the summer transfer window.

#4 Paulo Dybala (Juventus)

Barring a miracle from Atletico Madrid, Juventus are all set to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final and if Guillem Balague’s sources are to be believed, it might well be an audition of sorts for Argentine Paulo Dybala.

Still only 23, but already considered to be one of the most complete and versatile forwards in world football, Dybala has been in stunning form this season notably playing a starring role in Juventus’ impressive victory against Barcelona.

While Dybala’s future has been subject to intense speculation, the 23-year-old recently signed a long-term contract with the Turin giants and only a mammoth bid well above the world record transfer fee will lead to Juventus even consider selling their prized asset.

Both Real and Barcelona are interested in Dybala, but a move away from Turin looks highly unlikely for the Argentine forward in this transfer window.

#3 Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)

Probably the best finisher in world football at the moment, Robert Lewandowski has time and again been linked with a big money move to Real Madrid in the past few years. While Bayern Munich are in no mood to sell the 28-year-old, the rumour of Lewandowski joining Madrid gathered pace when AS reported that Ronaldo and Ramos went up to the Polish striker after their Champions League clash and asked him to join Los Blancos.

The report also went on to add that Lewandowski even had a brief conversation with Florentino Perez regarding a transfer to the Bernabeu. Should Lewandoski decide that he has had enough of the Bundesliga, Real Madrid is definitely going to be his next destination.

Ballague spoke about the possible implications of this transfer to Sky Sports News:

“Let’s see what they get, but if that happens then the BBC will be destroyed and it will be a case of everybody working hard to get in the line-up.Having said that, the one who suffers most will be Karim Benzema, not Bale. When Bale is fit he plays. His inconsistency is explained by his injuries.”

While Madrid are desperate to sign Lewandowski a transfer for the Pole is largely dependent on whether he wants to leave Bayern Munich at the end of this season.

#2 Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid)

Real Madrid might have completed the signing of Atletico Madrid starlet Theo Hernandez, but they will strike a real dagger into the heart of Los Colcheneros fans if they manage to sign Antoine Greizmann in the summer transfer window.

Griezmann’s future has been subject to intense speculation and while a move to the Premier League (Manchester United) looks most likely, the Frenchman has also previously said that he is open to playing for Atletico Madrid’s rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid should the opportunity present itself in the future.

With Atletico Madrid all but out of the Champions League, the Frenchman is desperate to add some trophies to his illustrious career. Reportedly frustrated at falling short of the trophy at the final hurdle on many occasions, Griezmann could well end up joining Madrid in a controversial transfer.

After all, if you can’t beat them just join them.

#1 Kylian Mbappe (AS Monaco)

Kylian mbappe

Kylian Mbappe has taken the world by storm with his stunning performances for AS Monaco this season. The 18-year-old forward has shown great pace, positioning and finishing skills to announce himself as ‘the’ most talented youngster in world football at the moment.

Wanted by all the top clubs across Europe including Manchester United and Chelsea, Mbappe is sure to spark a war in the summer transfer window. While the Monaco star has been advised by pundits and experts alike to stay another season at the Ligue 1 side, should a top team like Madrid come calling, it will be very tough for the Frenchman to reject their offer.

However, only a massive bid of around £110 million will convince Monaco to sell their man and it will be interesting to see if Madrid do indeed opt to exercise this option in the transfer window,

This ends the 5 man galactico shortlist drawn up by Real Madrid according to Guillem Balague and he expects at least two of these names to line up as a Los Blancos player in the Bernabeu next season.
