James to Napoli update

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has spoken on the possibility of signing James Rodriguez for Napoli. The Colombian has returned to Madrid following the conclusion of his two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich. However, he is unlikely to stay at the Bernabeu and has been linked with a move to Napoli.

And according to Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis, James Rodriguez is the most media-friendly player after Messi and Ronaldo but he wouldn't give in to the demands of Real Madrid for the former Monaco star as he believes that they are "exaggerated"

He also added that James wants to be in Naples.

"He is the player who, after Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi, is the most media-friendly. Carlo Ancelotti really likes him, and we are waiting for a more reasonable request," he said.

"The stumbling block is represented by Real Madrid, who have in our view exaggerated expectations. But James wants to join Napoli."

Mariano Diaz determined to stay

Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz is so determined to stay with the Galacticos that he has already rejected more than 10 clubs that have asked for his signature. According to AS, the most recent two offers were from Italy.

Spurs and Milan are two clubs whose names have been regularly linked to the player.

Nadal gives his opinion on Madrid being linked to Pogba

Tennis star Rafael Nadal is known for being an avid fan of Real Madrid. Recently, he was asked about Madrid’s pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and he had a very interesting answer to give.

The Frenchman is being linked with a big-money move to Madrid and while Nadal admitted that the former Juventus star is a superb player, the amount money quoted is “crazy” and that he doesn’t want things whose prices are exaggerated.

"I always have been confident with my team [Real Madrid]. Sometimes, things are not going that well [sic], like last year.

“And with Pogba; Pogba is a great player," he told reporters.

"Sometimes the money is crazy, so I don't want something that I believe is exaggerated in terms of money. That's all."

Will Real Madrid be able to sign Pogba for a reasonable price? Time will tell.

Dani Ceballos is a wanted man

Spain midfielder Dani Ceballos has attracted a lot of interest after his terrific performances at the U21 Euros. The Real Madrid star, however, is not in the first-teams plans of Zinedine Zidane and will have to move in order to earn minutes.

According to reports from both Spain and England, Arsenal and Spurs are in the race to sign him, with Liverpool’s name also in the mix. Sky have stated that Arsenal have joined the race to sign the former Betis star. The midfielder is not keen on leaving Real Madrid permanently and wants to move on loan.

Arsenal, too, want him on loan as they will have to fight it out against their bitter rivals Spurs for the Spaniard’s signature.

Sky's report comes after what Marca earlier claimed about Arsenal being in pole position to sign the talented midfielder despite reports linking him to Spurs.
