Hello and welcome to the Real Madrid transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Galacticos!

Roberto Martinez speaks about Hazard’s move to Madrid

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has opened up about Eden Hazard’s move to Real Madrid. The Belgian had been tracked by the Galacticos for a while and with his eventual move to Madrid, the saga finally came to an end.

According to the former Everton manager, Hazard is at the peak of his powers as he is winning titles in different competitions. He also added that the Merengues now have someone who can create an entire project due to his abilities as a footballer.

“He’s in the best moment of his career, at the age of 28, winning titles in different leagues,” he was quoted as saying.
“He can build a new project wherever that is as he’s one of the special signings of the summer.”

Martinez then went on to add that he is going to be an excellent addition for the Merengues as they are one of the very few clubs that could offer him the chance to win many trophies.

“For Real Madrid, he’s a phenomenal footballer to get. There couldn’t be too many new chapters to his career so probably the only place he could go and win titles (is Madrid).”

The Spaniard concluded by claiming that the former Lille star is the best fit for the Blancos and could become a hero at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“I think it is the perfect fit. He’s a player who’s gone through clubs and can be treated as a hero. We’re all looking forward to how that new chapter at Real Madrid starts.”

Mendy to Real Madrid

Real Madrid may have announced the acquisitions of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic but they are not yet done in the transfer market and the next arrival seems to be in the form of Lyon’s Ferland Mendy.

This has been all but confirmed by France manager Didier Deschamps, who praised the player for his amazing development. Mendy was playing in the second division of France just two years ago and is now on his way to Madrid.

Deschamps also added that the 24-year-old can play on both flanks.

"Two years ago, he was in the second division and now he will play at Real Madrid," Deschamps said of Mendy.
"He can play on either side and his development is stunning.”

With Marcelo and Reguilon in the team, and with Theo Hernandez and Achraf Hakimi still owned by the Galacticos, is this a signing that Madrid should be making?

Vinicius and Ndombele

One of the few good things about Madrid's season was the form of Vinicius Junior. He enchanted the Madridistas courtesy dazzling displays with the ball at his feet under Santiago Solari.

However, ever since Zinedine Zidane arrived at the club, there have been rumours that the Frenchman isn't too keen on keeping him at the Bernabeu, with a loan move being touted.

But according to ESPN, there is no chance that the Brazilian will be sent out on loan.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Paul Pogba for a while now. Ever since Zidane's return, the United star's name has been doing the rounds at the Bernabeu.

However, should the Galacticos fail to sign him, the alternative would be the acquisition of another Frenchman Tanguy Ndombele, who has also been linked with Tottenham.

Even though Real Madrid are going to have four new players coming to the club this summer, they are not yet done in the market.

Madrid need to sell in order to balance the books and while there are many players who are being linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, a new name seems to have been added to the list: Luka Modric.

The Croat is not happy that Hazard is going to earn more than him and wants his contract to be revised. If Perez doesn’t agree, he could leave, with Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Inter in line for his signature.

Meanwhile, according to a report from ABC, PSG would be willing to sell Kylian Mbappe for €230 million as the player is not happy in France and wants to move to Real Madrid.

Perez is willing to pay the amount but will only do so if he is absolutely sure that PSG really want to negotiate.
