What's the rumour?

According to reports from Spanish Media outlet, AS, Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari's relationship with Isco has broken down irreversibly.

In case you didn't know...

Things are not at all going Isco's way as he struggles to get minutes on the pitch under boss Santiago Solari. The 26-year-old Spanish playmaker has started only three times for the Los Blancos since Solari took over.

After enduring one of their worst starts in the 21st century, Real Madrid have found a way to bounce back under Santiago Solari. They are currently 3rd in the LaLiga and are 9 points behind arch rivals and leaders FC Barcelona with a game in hand.

Isco has only featured eleven times in all competitions this season. Although he was a pivotal part in former coach Julen Lopetegui's plans, he has fallen out with Santiago Solari since he came to the club.

The heart of the matter

It seems new coach Santiago Solari has solved most of the problems since his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu almost four months ago. But he is yet solve the complicated situation of Isco.

The relations between the coach and the player have been tense ever since Isco refused to shake his manager's hand following a 3-0 defeat to Eibar in November. The alleged bad gesture and Solari's punishment of leaving the starlet off the team against Roma left their relationship practically null and things have not improved between them.

According to the report, Isco gaining some weight and his failure to impress on the pitch alongside Vinicius' and Lucas Vasquez's good performances makes matters worse for the talented midfielder.

It is crystal clear that the Argentine coach expected better response from Isco but evidently, the player gave him fewer arguments to keep him on the team. As a result, the manager has given up on Isco.

Rumour rating: 6/10

Isco has not been a part of Solari's plans this season and is definitely set to leave the Bernabeu in the summer. AS is a reliable source when it comes to news pertaining to LaLiga and hence there is no reason to doubt this report.

What's next?

Real Madrid will face Girona at the LaLiga tonight and will play against Levante before facing FC Barcelona twice. As Real Madrid step up, Solari is well aware that despite their bad relations, Isco can still play a key role in the business end of the season.
