Reports coming out of England suggest a £14 million deal to bring the Inter Milan star Fredy Guarin to Stamford Bridge is all but done. The midfielder has been strongly linked with the London club in months following up to the January transfer window, and could soon dawn the Chelsea blue.

Jose Mourinho is to fill the void that will be left by Frank Lampard in the middle of the park alongside Ramires, as the English great nears retirement. The Blues manager has identified the San Siro star to be the ideal deputy in chief in the long term.

The Columbian has been outstanding for his side which has otherwise been average this season. The defensive midfielder has scored 3 goals and assisted 4 in the domestic league so far this campaign. The Italian giants languish in 5th place in the Serie A, a massive 15 points off the league leaders.

This imminent signing of the 27-year old could be the catalyst which will help Chelsea win silverware this season.
