A young man by the name of Kouassi Ryan Sessegnon has been causing a stir in English football circles, he is creating quite a reputation for himself in the eyes of Premier League giants such as Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and a few other clubs of similar stature.

At the tender age of seventeen, Sessegnon still has his whole professional career ahead of him yet he still continues to perform way ahead of his age bracket.

The lad is taking the Championship by storm having scored 14 goals and provided 4 assists so far for his club Fulham FC, impressing his coach Slavisa Jokanovic to such an extent that he deemed Sessegnon ready to be a part of the English national team in the upcoming World Cup.

A prodigious talent

He started his career as a left back, slow transcending into a more attacking role as a left winger seemingly following in the footsteps of a certain young lad by the name of Gareth Bale. He has been in scintillating form especially since the start of this year clearly shown by his recent form of scoring 10 goals in his last 12 games for the club.

He is a great dribbler with the ball and has blistering pace aswell which enables him run down the left flank effortlessly, coupled with his ability to score goals. This makes him an even bigger threat going forward clearly shown in his goal tally this season.

Although he is seen as a gifted individual, he still faces criticism for losing the ball way too often and not being strong defensively given his original position as a left back seems worrisome.

A wonder kid

Sessegnon has been classified as a 'wonder kid’ by experts and they expect a lot out of the lad. As an in-demand teenager, Sessegnon obviously is quite valuable and therefore has pressure to perform.

He continues to impress the fans, recently receiving the Young Player of the year award at the London Football Awards aswell as holding the title of the EFL Player of the Year. Ryan dreams of playing in the Premier League alongside the best players in the world.

He has not only succeeded at club level but also at international level with the English U19 squad, winning the UEFA European U19 Championship whilst being named in the team of the tournament all at just the age of 17.

He has mentioned that he idolizes Luke Shaw, a left back for Manchester United and sees him as a source of inspiration. According to Sky Sports, Fulham has rejected multiple bids for the youngster ranging from 25 million to 50 million pounds.

Sessegnon has earned praises from his fellow teammates and coaches aswell as huge personalities in the footballing world making him one of the most highly sought out youngsters in the world. Football has been cruel to a lot of young players like Ryan Mason, ending their careers too soon or not reaching the expected heights but Sessegnon certainly seems like a player destined for greatness.
