Thirty-one points out of Thirty-nine for the reds so far this season which is by far the most points earned at this stage by the reds in any of the previous seasons since the inception of Premier league. Jurgen Klopp's third full season with the reds is proving to be a game changer for the Merseyside club in recent time as they are yet to lose this season to an English opponent in the league.

What is fascinating to see is that even though the front three is under firing, the team looks in complete harmony; thanks to the addition of Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson Becker in defence who is proving to be a bargain buy especially Dutch.

Along with him and Becker, three other member of the defensive line is young British prodigies in Trent Alexander Arnold, Joe Gomez and Andrew Robertson who are playing like a proper Brits known for hard tackles and fierce running. The fact that the defence is to be credited more than anything for this fine run of wins is the ability to not give away cheap goals to the opposition which was the main concern previously.

It was not so long ago when fans mourned about the results saying "we are so good but unable to have a crack at the title" mostly because the team Klopp inherited was average and had to bring in quality which lacked in his former's reign. Evidently so now we see Klopp's fully-fledged eleven who are brought in not just to challenge for the titles but to destroy the opponents with ruthlessness and self-believe.

The team looks hungry for titles more than ever before and seems like "this could be our year". But the only problem along the way is Pep Guardiola's galactico team which is fueled with star quality who are winning matches for fun.

Manchester city exceeded their own expectations set last season by winning almost all and losing none this season to sit vigilantly on top of the table as Liverpool, Chelsea and spurs looming large over them

Chelsea are on a resurgence so far this season under new boss Maurizio Sarri having finished fifth last time around and has only lost to London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs. Much like citizens, Chelsea team consists much of the same group of players who won the league in 2017 so one cannot write them off so easily.

Spurs, on the other hand, have been inconsistent so far losing thrice along the way yet they sit above Chelsea -- thanks to their world-class starting eleven who continued their last season's prowess to the current campaign as well. This Spurs team has consistently challenged for the league in previous three occasions as Mauricio Pochettino looks to bring home the domestic league title for the first time.

It is indeed going to be the closest one so far as the race for the title is gaining speed with winter break not so far away.
