Liverpool are the most successful English club in UEFA competitions and have won the UEFA Champions League six times so far, including their triumph over Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Reds have had prolific goalscorers in their ranks, with players like Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen finding their place on the list of top goal scorers in English top-flight history.

Liverpool have featured regularly in the UEFA Champions League in recent years and have made it into the knockout stage in the last four seasons, finishing as runner-up in 2017-18 and lifting the title the following season.

#5 Ian Rush - 14 goals
We kick off our list with Ian Rush, the club's all-time top-scorer across all competitions. He was part of Liverpool's Golden Generation, which dominated the English top-flight under the tutelage of Bob Paisley.
Apart from winning titles for the Reds, Rush also racked up a plethora of individual accolades, including the European Golden Boot in 1984, with his goals helping Liverpool win three trophies in the 1983-84 season.
Though he has scored 364 goals across all competitions for the Reds, only 14 of those have come in the Champions League, which still makes him the fifth-highest goal-scorer for Liverpool in the competition.
#4 Roberto Firmino - 18 goals
Roberto Firmino has been one of the hardest-working players in the Liverpool squad and despite not being able to top the goalscoring charts like his teammates - Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, his contributions in the attacking third have been crucial to Liverpool's success recently.
The Brazilian forward has got off to a great start in the 2021-22 season and has now scored six goals across all competitions. He bagged a brace in the 5-1 win over Porto which took his total goal tally in the UEFA Champions League to 18 goals.

#3 Sadio Mane - 20 goals
Sadio Mane has developed into one of the world's finest wingers during his time with Liverpool. His speed, ability on the ball, and dribbling skills make him a very tricky opponent to go ahead against on the left flank.
While Mo Salah is the attacking force of the team and can score at will, Mane is equally competent at winning back possession. The Senegalese forward had the best campaign of his career in the 2018-19 season.

The Egyptian winger recently scored his 100th Premier League goal, becoming the fastest Liverpool player to reach a century of goals. The left-footed winger has been at the top of his game every season and is showing no signs of slowing down.
While he has scored 28 goals in the UEFA Champions League for Liverpool, his career tally, including goals for Roma and Basel, stands at 31 goals. That makes him only the third African player to breach the 30-goal mark in the competition.

Steven Gerrard is often regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation, although he could not win the Premier League with The Reds. His man-of-the-match performance in the UEFA Champions League final against AC Milan in 2005 cemented his place in the club's folklore.
After Liverpool went 3-0 down in the first half, he inspired a comeback scoring in the 54th minute after which two more goals were scored in quick succession to equalize for Liverpool.
He currently holds the title as the top-scoring Liverpool player in the UEFA Champions League and has also scored 14 goals in the competition at Anfield, a record that was recently equalized by Mo Salah.
