Everton manager Marco Silva hopeful of signing Andre Gomes in the summer
Andre Gomes has certainly made an impact after moving to the Goodison from Barcelona on a loan deal. However, latest reports in Spain claimed that he had reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur. It was claimed that Gomes had agreed to join Mauricio Pochettino's side on a £26 million deal.
However, the Toffees' boss Marco Silva is not aware of such a deal and remains hopeful of signing both Andre Gomes and Kurt Zouma who are currently on loan at Everton. Silva said,
"The only feedback I have had until now is from Andre, our relationship is really honest from the first day,"
"He didn't decide anything about his future and his agent too. This is what I can say to you. I've already told you about our talks not only with him but Zouma too. It is up to us to show that ambition with the clubs and the players.
"Him and Zouma, they were key players for us this season."
However, Kurt Zouma's signing will prove to be complicated as Chelsea are currently serving a transfer ban and are likely to keep hold of their players.
"Maybe it is not the best thing for us but now it is up to the clubs to speak to each other and deal with the situation and see what we can do."
Jurgen Klopp says Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno could be playing their last game for Liverpool this weekend
The Liverpool boss has revealed that striker Daniel Sturridge and left-back Alberto Moreno could very well be playing their last game for Liverpool against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend with both players' contracts set to run out in the summer.
Daniel Sturridge's influence at the club has been waning over the past few years with the Englishman regularly struggling for fitness. Alberto Moreno, on the other hand, has proved to be too erratic in his ways and was displaced from the first team by youngster Andy Robertson.
"It’s possible [this is their last game]. We will see. I don’t talk about contracts even if they finish after the season.
"It’s not the time for these things. The only important thing is the players we know and we know, not the rest of the world."
Neymar wants to join Real Madrid to play with Vinicius Jr.
Vinicius Jr. has been one of the only bright spots of Real Madrid's torrid season where they failed to mount a challenge on all fronts. The young Brazilian is one of the brightest young prospects in world football and has provided fresh hope to the Santiago Bernabeu folks with his performances.
He has a big admirer in Neymar Jr. Neymar is one of the players who has revealed that he wants to play alongside Vinicius Jr. The Brazilian is struggling to find happiness at Paris Saint-Germain after being condemned to domestic glory exclusively. He is also lagging behind in the Ballon d'Or race.
Neymar was reportedly in talks with Barcelona a while back. However, he recently admitted that he would like to team up with Eden Hazard and with Real Madrid being the Belgian's likely destination in the summer, the comments fueled speculations.
Manchester United on the verge of signing Swansea's Daniel James
It seems like there has happened a significant shift in Manchester United's transfer strategy. If the latest reports are anything to go by, the Red Devils are close to signing 21-year-old Swansea winger Daniel James.
The winger had earlier revealed that his camp was holding talks with the club's representatives regarding a new contract. Reports at the time claimed that James' camp wanted a buy-out clause inserted.
Daniel James came quite close to securing a move to Leeds United in January. However, the deal fell through on deadline day despite his having completed the medical at Leeds. The Welsh club decided to pull out of the deal in the last minute.
But it all seems to be working out for the speedster who is now more than likely to be part of Manchester United's squad overhaul in the summer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to make signings in the model of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney and this is definitely a step in that direction.
Antoine Griezmann will join Barcelona on two conditions
The humiliating loss at the hands of Liverpool in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie has now forced the Catalan giants to reconsider their plans for the summer. Having realized the lack of consistency in the forward line, Barcelona have brought Antoine Griezmann back to their agenda and it looks like the Frenchman is willing to join.
However, the move could hit a stumbling block should La Blaugrana don't concede the World Cup winner's demands. Griezmann has two conditions. First of all, he wants to be a regular starter in Ernesto Valverde's side. Secondly, Griezmann wants wage parity with Luis Suarez given that he's younger and could go on to be more important to the club than the Uruguayan.
Lionel Messi believes that Griezmann can be a hit at Barcelona and is of the opinion that the Camp Nou will take to him in due time.
