We have 13 more days to go in the summer transfer window. With so many transfer sagas yet to reach their conclusion, there's no doubt that we are in for a wild ride in the final 2 weeks of the window.

Without further ado, let's take a look at the top transfer news of the day.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms Alexis Sanchez could leave Manchester United

Following Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked about the future of Alexis Sanchez. The Red Devils' manager responded by hinting that the Chilean could leave.

He said,

"Well, there's still a couple of weeks left of the transfer window and there is a chance... some clubs have shown interest in Alexis, so we'll see what happens. Can't update you more than that."

Inter Milan are in advanced talks to sign Alexis Sanchez and several reliable sources have reported that the winger wants to leave Manchester United and join Inter on a loan deal.

The deal will see Sanchez joining Inter Milan on loan for the 2019-20 season and Inter will have the option to buy him for €17 million. However, Manchester United will have to pay a part of Sanchez's wages as they are too high for Inter Milan to afford by themselves.

Antonio Conte is keen to bolster his attack further after already adding Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez. Sanchez is not the only player on his shortlist though. Tottenham Hotspur backup striker Fernando Llorente, Eintracht Frankfurt's Ante Rebic, RB Leipzig's Timo Werner and Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik are all being monitored.

Despite suggesting last week that we could see more of Alexis at Manchester United this season than we'd fancy, Ole's latest comments suggest that he could leave the club before the European transfer window closes inside 2 weeks.

Meanwhile, renowned pundit and former Manchester United captain and club legend Gary Neville has urged the club to sell Sanchez.

Arsenal director Josh Kroenke says the Gunners will be proactive in January

Arsenal weren't expected to have even a decent transfer window. However, they were the ones who were left gleaming as the Premier League window shut earlier this month after having pulled off some of the biggest bargains of the summer.

Arsenal director Josh Kroenke believes that the club has still got the 'aura' to attract top players from across the world and that the transfer window they had is a testament to that fact. Kroenke insists that Arsenal will not hold back in the January transfer window either.

He said,

"I would say that if you're reacting and doing club-record signings based on public opinion, you're not going to go very far as a club."
"We weren't reactive this summer, we were actually proactive. As for January, I don't want to get ahead of ourselves.
"We've got to evaluate some things in the short term and figure out where we might need to address going forward, so when January does roll around we're going to be proactive again."

Davide Zappacosta close to joining AS Roma on loan

In an interesting turn of events, Chelsea fullback Davide Zappacosta is close to joining Serie A outfit AS Roma on a season-long loan deal. Zappacosta is yet to feature this season for Frank Lampard's side. The Blues are short-staffed on the right side and this is quite a baffling decision.

Zappacosta is expected to undergo a medical at Roma this week ahead of completing his move. Chelsea had signed the Italian international in 2017 when Antonio Conte was in charge and he played 35 games in his first season in England.

The 27-year-old has won the FA Cup with Chelsea. He was rarely used in the Premier League in the 2018-19 season with Sarri using him extensively in the Blues' successful Europa League campaign. Zappacosta appeared only 4 times for Chelsea in the Premier League this past season.

Juventus could swap Emre Can for Ivan Rakitic

According to reports, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici held talks with Barcelona representatives over a potential deal for youngster Juan Miranda. Over the course of the negotiation, however, it has appeared that a swap deal for Ivan Rakitic with Emre Can going the other way is very much a possibility.

Both clubs are reportedly interested in pulling off the swap deal. Barcelona, in particular, would be relieved to get Rakitic off their payroll as that would put them in a better position to sign Neymar.

Though the report claims that both clubs are satisfied with the progress so far, it offers no figures or more details about the deal. If Rakitic ends up leaving Barcelona, it will force Ernesto Valverde to rethink his tactics as the Croatian international was a mainstay in the starting XI last season, appearing in 54 games.

Paris Saint-Germain open to selling Neymar to Barcelona on one condition

Everyone knows by now that the Neymar situation is very real. The player is desperate to move and Paris Saint-Germain are not keen on making a disgruntled player stay either. However, the Parisians want to recoup all the money they spent to sign him from Barcelona in the summer of 2017.

PSG were open to the idea of a cash + player (swap) deal. However, now that Philippe Coutinho has joined Bayern Munich, it doesn't look like PSG will push for a player exchange as he was one player they were keen on roping in.

As per the latest reports, Paris Saint-Germain are willing to do business with Barcelona and will let Neymar join the Catalans if they take him on loan for the season with an obligation to buy him next summer. That should be great news for Barcelona as they have little or no chance of matching PSG's valuation of Neymar this summer with money alone.
