Real Madrid came back from behind twice to secure an all-important win against Sporting Gijon, as they remain 3 points clear of Barcelona ahead of the El Classico next week. Sporting took the lead via Duje Cop who finished brilliantly past Kiko Casilla (as Keylor Navas was rested for the tie), from a lovely dinked ball from Mikel Vesga. However, Real Madrid came back through Isco who went past three players before shooting into the top corner.
Sporting regained their lead early in the second half from Vesga, who looped the header. Alvaro Morata replaced parity with a good finish with his head from a Danilo cross for his 12th League goal of the season. Isco, by far the best player on the pitch, won the game for Real Madrid with a lovely finish from the edge of the box, to earn a vital three points for the Madrid giants.
