Twitter explodes as Manchester United come back from two goals down to win against Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace v Manchester United - Premier League
Nemanja Matic scored his first United goal that completed an epic comeback

Having not registered a league victory against Manchester United since 1991, it looked like Crystal Palace would finally win against The Red Devils in the Premier League, as Palace led 2-0 at Selhurst Park with just over half an hour left in the game. Goals from Andros Townsend and Patrick van Aanholt looked enough in order to move Crystal Palace out of the relegation zone, but Manchester United had other plans. A headed goal from Chris Smalling, an equalizing goal from Romelu Lukaku and a sensational shot from 30 yards by Nemanja Matic helped United come back and register an important victory.

This victory brought up memories of the United of old - the Red Devils have been famous for great comeback victories. While that is a sight to watch, there were questions raised on why and how the Red Devils are starting the game and the importance of asserting dominance from the get-go. David De Gea wasn't really at fault for the two goals, but he showed once again why he is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world when he saved a Christian Benteke header later in the game.

Manchester United are now back on second in the table with 62 points, with Liverpool in third with 60. The two clubs meet next weekend at Old Trafford, and the game is expected to have major implications on who finishes as the Premier League runners-up this season.

Crystal Palace stay in the relegation zone in 18th, but only a point away from safety. However, a visit to Stamford Bridge awaits them now, so it's likely that they would continue to stay in the relegation zone for a while.

Twitter understandably exploded as the Red Devils made a second consecutive comeback victory in the Premier League. Here are some of the best tweets:
