David Wagner has departed his role as the head coach of Huddersfield Town FC by mutual consent. Huddersfield Town have bagged only 11 points from their 22 Premier League matches as they are at the last position in the league table this season and managed to win only 2 matches in this season so far.
Wagner received the Huddersfield job in November 2015, as the successor of Chris Powell. He helped Huddersfield Town to make their comeback in the Premier League top division. He also managed to gift a few great wins for Huddersfield fans as they also maintained their place in Premier League last season.
Huddersfield Town ended their consecutive eight-game losing run as they held a goalless draw with Cardiff City on Saturday. Before this match, Wagner spoke about his disappointing experience with Huddersfield Town this season. He claimed,
I knew the Premier League was anything but a joyride. I always have known that it is possible we can go on a negative run. We had five defeats in a row last season but we were able to turn it around. That is the challenge you face as the manager of Huddersfield Town.
Now we have eight and it hurts even more.
I am under pressure. I am not just responsible for the time before the last six weeks. I am responsible for the last six weeks,when we haven't won a football match and we haven't got a point.
