The drama is finally over and Paul Pogba is a Manchester United player again. It came at a hefty price especially since he left for nothing in 2012. Manchester United announced the much-awaited transfer in the wee hours of the morning – they had just agreed to pay €109 million for Pogba over a period of 2 years plus add-ons and Raiola’s fees.
United fans weren’t the only ones celebrating after the announcement. Adidas has plenty of reason to rejoice in the occasion – the record signing is going to mean plenty of business for them. Adidas celebrated by releasing a short hip-hop music video starring Paul Pogba and the artist Stormzy.
The video features the two in Adidas t-shirts – Stormzy is very clearly wearing a Manchester United away shirt with Pogba written on the back and Pogba is dressed in a shirt similar to the away kit colours. Pogba is actually pretty great in the video – a complete natural while dancing, especially while doing the basketball moves! The video does more than enough to get fans excited about the latest signing ahead of this weekend.
Jose Mourinho has picked some of the best for Manchester United from the transfer market – Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Pogba is definitely both the cherry and the icing on their cake. The news of the signing comes after their victory in the Community Shield against Leicester City on Sunday.
Fans will be eagerly waiting to see if Pogba is named in the team for this Sunday’s game against Bournemouth.
