Manchester United traveled to the Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the second matchweek of the Premier League. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, thanks to goals from Anthony Martial and Ruben Neves respectively.

In the first half of the game, Manchester United dominated Wolves, both in terms of possession and chances created. While the home side defended in numbers, United were able to break them down, thanks to a great pass from Rashford and a brilliant finish from Martial.

Wolves didn't create a single clear cut opportunity in the first half and that tells you how brilliantly United were while controlling the first period. In the second half of the game, Wolves were much better as they started creating some opportunities.

Neves eventually equalized for the home side, with a stunning curling strike into the top corner. Around the 67th minute of the game, Paul Pogba won a penalty for Manchester United and the Frenchman's effort was by Rui Patricio.

The match eventually ended all square and in this piece, we are going to take a look at the five talking points from the game:

#5 Aaron Wan-Bissaka imperious again

Aaron Wan-Bissaka displayed what he is all about with a near-perfect performance against Chelsea, and against Wolves, the Englishman was United's best defender by far.

He didn't let Jonny Otto have a single minute's rest on that right-hand side as the Spaniard barely got past Wan-Bissaka. His tackling was brilliant and he was neat with the ball at his feet.

Wan-Bissaka should have had an assist as he picked out Jesse Lingard on two occasions in the Wolves box in the second half, but the latter couldn't finish them off.

Wan-Bissaka has been a revelation for United at right-back and Solskjaer would have been particularly pleased with his performance.

#4 Manchester United were brilliant in the first half

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lined United up in a familiar 4-2-3-1, with Daniel James being brought in for Andreas Pereira. It is fair to say that United were utterly dominant in the first half as they didn't let Wolves create a single opportunity.

Wolves were defending very narrow and compact, and it took a brilliant move from United to open the scoring. Rashford found Martial with a neat little pass and the Frenchman didn't make a mistake in front of goal.

United had a lot of the ball in the first period and while it can be said United didn't really create many opportunities, they were in control of the game in the first half.

#3 Wolves improved massively in the second half

After a dismal first-half performance, Nuno Espirito Santo would have wanted his team to be quick off the blocks in the second period and the home side did exactly that. First, Raul Jimenez hit the woodwork before Joao Moutinho set up Neves for the equalizer.

The goal itself was stunning as Neves struck it from outside of the box and beat David De Gea comfortably. Also, bringing on Adama Traore for Matt Doherty at the start of the second period added the much-needed bite to Wolves' attack, as Traore didn't let Luke Shaw rest for a single minute after coming on.

It was Wolves' second-half performance that earned them a point against United.

#2 Anthony Martial scored his 50th goal for Manchester United against Wolves

When Martial was given back the number 9 shirt before the Premier League season began, there were many questions on the Frenchman's consistency in front of goal. It is fair to say, the 23-year-old has displayed his qualities of a proper striker in the first two games of the season.

He scored against Chelsea, and he scored against Wolves in what was a brilliant finish to mark his 50th goal for the Red Devils. Solskjaer would have also been pleased with the off the ball running that Martial did throughout the game.

Rashford and Martial seem to be forming an attacking partnership for United and this season could really be a massive one for both those youngsters.

#1 Paul Pogba's penalty miss eventually cost United the game

When Wolves scored the equalizer, the home side were running high on momentum but against the run of play, the Red Devils won a penalty, thanks to a brilliant move from Martial and Pogba.

It was Pogba who was eventually tripped by Conor Coady and the Frenchman stepped up to take the penalty, but his effort was saved by the Wolves goalkeeper. Rashford was the man who took the penalty against Chelsea and this time it was Pogba who missed a huge opportunity to put his side in front.

This missed chance from Pogba is what cost Manchester United the game in the end as the Red Devils didn't create many opportunities after that until the end of the game.
