Wilfried Zaha: Hoping to make his mark at the Welsh club Cardiff FC

Manchester United’s 15 million winger Wilfried Zaha who featured for about half an hour for his new club, has finally found a place where he’s being admired for the talent he is. Contrary to United’s fans wants, who have been immensely frustrated with Moyes’ on choosing the likes of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young who have been horrendous on United’s wings, Zaha was eventually let off on loan to get first team action.

Zaha joined Welsh Capital club Cardiff City FC in the January transfer window and has been an instant hit for the club. Zaha came off the bench to inspire the Bluebirds and set up an assist for Craig Bellamy’s goal, which lead to a vital 2-1 win over Norwich. Zaha’s performance earned him praise from his manager, who believes the 21 year old England international can follow in the footsteps of United favourite Cristiano Ronaldo, to become just as good as him.

“I don’t really want to compare Wilfried with Cristiano, but he has quick feet like Cristiano, he is brave like Cristiano and wants to go forward.” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

After an inspiring performance against Norwich which lifted Cardiff from the bottom of the Premiere League table, Zaha has now set his sights on the south Wales Derby against Swansea at the Liberty stadium and is determined to give his very best, to help the club beat the Premier League drop.

“I was just glad to get on. We needed the crowd to help and the noise the fans made helped to push us on.

“I’m happy. I hope to be one of the fans’ favorites and every game I come on, I will give it my all.”

Zaha added: “We can get out of the relegation zone if we just believe, and getting these points have helped a lot.

“The manager just told us to push on. We were at home and there’s no reason why we should be on the back foot all the time – we should go and attack.”
