After several days of non-stop excitement, the inaugural edition of the Premier Futsal League comes to an end today with Ryan Giggs’ Mumbai 5s going up against Michel Salgado’s Kochi 5s. Both teams have already met twice during the group stages, with Kochi 5s winning 4-1 in Chennai, whilst Mumbai 5s winning 6-4 in Goa.
Mumbai 5s have been one of the best-attacking units in the tournament, whilst Kochi 5’s are known for their mean defence. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid stars could more silverware to their already glittering careers if things go their way.
The inaugural edition of the Premier Futsal League has been a massive hit among fans in India and abroad, with several big names participating. The final game promises to be nothing less, with both sides hoping to lift the trophy at the end of the day.

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has been impressive throughout the tournament and has made key contributions whenever needed. Foglia has been one of the best players in the tournament, whilst Angellot has also been impressive. Luis Amado has done a good job between the sticks, and Mumbai 5s have got players that have been consistent throughout the tournament.
Michel Salgado’s team have been very disciplined throughout the tournament and have shown immense character. The former Real Madrid star has been a leader for Kochi, and a lot will be expected from him once again. Chaguinha put in a man of the match performance against Goa 5s, and could make a real difference, Moraes has also been outstanding so far in the tournament, and could play a decisive role.
Prediction
Mumbai 5s have been one of the best sides so far in the tournament, but Kerala 5’s might just edge past against them today should they keep up their good form.
