20 percent of Street Fighter V development completed

Street Fighter V under development

Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu recently interviewed Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono who revealed that 20 percent of Street Fighter V’s development has already been completed. Street Fighter V was announced just this month so it’s great progress from the development team and fans can probably expect the title a little sooner that what’s predicted.

A release date has not been announced by Capcom though Amazon has a placeholder release of March 2016. This is however just and indicator. The development team seems to be working quite fast so it could be much earlier.

An official Street Fighter V gameplay trailer was revealed which showed footage of Chun-Li and Ryu. Fans of the series have also noted some new additions to the game such as some new combos as well as a “Revenge” meter.

Capcom had also announced that the game will be getting a new character, Charlie Nash. Charlie is not exactly a new character, having already appeared in Street Fighter Alpha, but he has gotten a makeover and long-time fans of the series will surely be excited to see the character once again.

Street Fighter V will be available exclusively for the PC and PS4. The game will not be available for Xbox platforms though, so Xbox fans will be missing out. The game is expected to release sometime in 2016, but again this could be sooner than expected. Capcom has a lot on its plate so far, including a possible new game.
