2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have released an infographic giving details about the first week of play of their new game, Evolve. Millions of people from around the world have played this game and the stats are pretty impressive. The game is very well balanced and the asymmetric nature of the game is well accounted for. Among the many stats provided here are a few that stand out
- 5,989,905 games played
- 108 years of time played altogether
- Average round length is 9 minutes and 46 seconds
- Shortest time to first contact is 1 minute
- Average time to first contact is 2 minutes and 23 seconds
- Longest time to first contact is 43 minutes
- Hunters won 48.1% of matches with the Monster taking 51.9%
The last stat is what i found very impressive given the four versus one nature of the game. It further goes on to show how well balanced the game is. We have to hand it over to Turtle Rock as they seem to have done a remarkable job in keeping the game fair between the hunters and the monsters.
This can change soon with various DLC being released. Evolve will face its true test after the gamers have mastered their favourite characters.
