Bandai Namco to announce more new characters for Tekken 7

Claudio is one of the four new characters announced for Tekken 7

If you are one of the few that despise Lucky Chloe, then you needn’t have to worry as there are more new characters to look forward to in Tekken 7. Bandai Namco has revealed four new characters for their upcoming arcade game so far, but according to a tweet from Tekken 7 director, Katsuhiro Harada, it looks like there are more new characters that are left to be announced.

A fan asked Harada on Twitter if there are more new characters left to be announced for Tekken 7. Harada replied to the fan with a simple “Yep”. So Tekken fans can expect more cool characters to be revealed over the next couple of weeks. Many have also been eager to see new characters introduced to the franchise.

So far, Bandai Namco has revealed four new characters for the game, these include Arab fighter Shaheen, Japanese idol Lucky Chloe, French savate expert Katarina Alves, and Italian fighter Claudio. The arcade version of the game is slated to release on February 18th in Japan and on March worldwide. Bandai Namco will also be bringing the cabinet to various events across North America for those who are keen to try out the game before its official release.

According to the official Tekken 7 website, there are 20 characters revealed for the game so far, but some fan favourites (like Jin Kazama) are missing from the list. The character could be added later but for now, there are just 20 characters confirmed.

With Tekken 7 releasing in a week, there is a probability that these new characters will be added to the console version of the game. Bandai Namco is yet to announce a release date for the console though Harada has confirmed its existence via Twitter. When asked for a console release date, Harada replied stating that it was a secret, but fans should stay tuned for more announcements.
