Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition Japanese release date revealed

Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will be available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC

A Japanese release date has been revealed for Capcom’s upcoming Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. According to a post on NeoGAF, Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, has revealed some new information on the Special Edition of the game, which includes both the PC and console release dates.

The Special Edition version was announced in December last year and will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC(via Steam). Besides Dante, the game will feature three more non-playable characters, namely Devil May Cry 3’s Vergil, Trish, and Lady.

The game will also include dual English and Japanese-language voice tracks for those who don’t like the English dubs. And Xbox One and PS4 owners will also have a chance to try out the Legendary Knight mode. As for pre-order bonuses, players might get limited edition costumes for Trish and Lady.

Devil May Cry 4 is the second game in the DmC series to be re-released for the new-gen consoles. The previous one was DmC: Devil May Cry, which released earlier this year for the Xbox One, and PS4. The game has not faired too well among fans, unlike its predecessors.

Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition Xbox One and PS4 versions will be out in on June 18th in Japan. The PC version will be coming out almost a week later on June 24th. Sadly, a Western release date has not been revealed yet but Capcom will surely announce this in the coming weeks.
