Dragon Quest Heroes will be releasing in North America and Europe this year

Dragon Quest Heroes will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4

Sony has just announced that the latest RPG title, Dragon Quest Heroes, will be coming to North America and Europe sometime this year. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the game, Dragon Quest Heroes is a part of the long running Dragon Quest RPG Series created by Yuji Horii and Armor Project. The Dragon Quest games have been extremely popular in Japan, though its release in the West has been quite limited with some titles not even releasing at all. Thankfully, this will not be the case with the latest entry in the series.

Dragon Quest Heroes is slated to launch on 26th February in many Asian countries like Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The game has not received an official Western release date yet, though Sony has assured fans that the game will be releasing in North America and Europe sometime this year. It is also worth noting that the Asian release of the game will be for the PlayStation 3 and 4, while the Western release will be limited to the PlayStation 4.

Square Enix’s West Community Manager, Dan Seto, has revealed a bit more about the game;

“In Dragon Quest Heroes, the protagonists must rise up against insurmountable odds, challenging swarms of enemies and conquering gigantic monsters in an exhilarating action game. Filled with characters and monsters designed by world-renowned artist Akira Toriyama, Dragon Quest Heroes is brought to PS4 in beautiful HD.”
