With anticipation sky high and excitement paramount, fans are ready to brace themselves for the hurricane that is FIFA 18. As the release date for the game approaches, EA Sports appear to be going all out to raise expectations and boost sales for their hottest ever franchise till date.

EA Sports FIFA recently revealed on their Facebook page that the latest trailer for "The Journey" starring fictional character Alex Hunter will feature a host of new superstars. These superstars include big names such as Cristiano Ronaldo but also include cross over athletes like James Harden as a part of the NBA. The twist is a refreshing change and the trailer looks slick on the face of it.

"The Journey" is all set to make a return this year in FIFA 18 with season 2 of Hunter's career being showcased this time around. Following his jubilant ending to last season, Hunter now faces media and fan wrath for reportedly wanting a transfer away from his current club. The latest trailer reveals his struggles in brief and gives an idea of what to expect when the story mode is unveiled as a part of FIFA 18.

The heart of the matter

The well-scripted trailer shows a mystified Hunter watching the television with his agent amid reports of him moving to Real Madrid. The trailer also highlights the global nature of the story mode by showing him in different locations around the world, including the USA where he meets revered basketball star, James Harden.

A noteworthy inclusion in the trailer is his short chat with Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo over a possible exchange of shirts at the end of the game, as is customary in football.
