Watch: Man Utd defender Antonio Valencia pays the price as EA Sports take FIFA 18's visual detailing to whole new level

Valencia's moment of pain
This is where it all started

The much anticipated FIFA 18 demo released on September 12th on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The fans who were waiting for FIFA 18, had great expectations about the graphics, and they were more than satisfied. A user on the FIFA sub-Reddit shared a clip of the Manchester United full-back Antonio Valencia.

In the clip, Valencia receives a speeding football, right in his jewels. Valencia’s face lights up in pain, as he is then seen driving his hand straight to the groin. One can say without any doubts, that EA Sports have really taken their graphic detailing to a whole a new level of 'realistic'.

To be honest, I feel bad for the poor guy.
One can almost feel bad for the poor guy.

This rather intricate work of focusing on even the facial expressions is definitely a departure from all the previous versions of FIFA.

The improved graphics are the product of the high-end Frostbite Game Engine. EA Executive, Patrick Söderlund mentioned in an interview that they have tried to really push the limits this year, as last year they were just getting acquainted with the Frostbite Engine. He said, “Last year we got FIFA onto Frostbite for the first time. This year we’ll see the second version of it on Frostbite which, you’ll see, looks a lot better, plays a lot better, and is more of a complete transformation from what the game was..

Now that we have seen Valencia clinch in pain, we believe Söderlund. So all of you FIFA fans should prepare for a lot of visual boosts, and overwhelming graphics that FIFA 18 is going to bring.
