What's the story?
Everton's Yannick Bolasie may have made headlines when he moved from Crystal Palace to the blue half of Merseyside a year ago, but his constant injuries have prevented him from being a regular in Ronald Koeman's side. Now, following EA Sports' FIFA 18 ratings reveal, Bolasie has been quick to point out to the developers that his rating was far from appropriate.
The Congolese International was visibly fuming after his 78 rating and claimed it was "Alex Hunter stats." If the powerful midfielder was looking for some fan support, however, that was certainly not forthcoming.

Bolasie impressed the big clubs of England with his powerful physique and ability to run the flank with everlasting batteries, however, his injury-ravaged start to life at Everton heavily damaged his hopes of making it big in Europe.
The heart of the matter
Bolasie's tweet comes following a barrage of Twitter posts from several other average rated players in FIFA 18. Among those to lash out at the developers were Michy Batshuayi of Chelsea, Benjamin Mendy of Manchester City and even David Luiz of Chelsea to an extent.
Though Bolasie may have been visibly angry at his FIFA 18 numbers, there is no doubt that the Twitter public was siding with the EA Sports higher-ups, giving surprisingly sensible arguments as to why Bolasie did not deserve a rating of even 80. Though his physical stats seem decent this year, it is highly unlikely that he'll be among the most wanted players in Ultimate Team once FUT 18 gathers momentum. Tough luck, Yannick.

Nonetheless, Bolasie and Everton will be available to play with in FIFA 18 in a week's time as the game releases on 29th September on PC, Xbox One, PS 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Bolasie may be punching above his weight a bit by taking on EA Sports, but it is worrying for the company that there is a rising number of dissatisfied players in the FIFA 18 ratings list. Could this be a problem when the game hits the market next week? Those making the big decisions in EA Sports will certainly hope that isn't the case.
