FIFA 18: Henrikh Mkhitaryan's possible new rating and position after move from Manchester United to Arsenal

For Arsenal fans around the world, the despair of watching one of their favourite sons leave the club for a close rival was seemingly turned into a mood of relative triumph after the club announced that former Red Devil Henrikh Mkhitaryan was making the jump to North London in a straight swap.

Though he may not have the accolades of Alexis Sanchez, the Armenian ace has some incredible skill of his own, which may not have been completely exploited at Old Trafford. With the atmosphere around the Emirates Stadium now slightly hopeful, perhaps there is a change in fortunes on the horizon for an Arsenal side struggling to get their head straight amid all the Sanchez transfer drama.

There may be hope for all those FUT players too who are looking to get the best out of Henrikh Mkhitaryan in their respective sides and we were just as curious to see what the 29-year-old would conjure up at Arsenal in terms of his FUT numbers. The current rating for Mkhitaryan in FIFA 18 is 85 but expect that number to change following a relatively hot and cold first half of the season in a Manchester United shirt.

The new rating could realistically be 83 as the Armenian looks to settle into life at Arsenal. His preferred position is CAM and with Arsene Wenger desperate to get the most out of his latest signing, one could see him play here instead of his current RM position in FIFA 18.

His pace has dwindled in recent times and could drop a couple of notches to 84 especially with younger players such as Alex Iwobi in that position. His dribbling reflects his immaculate skill which at 86 highlights the quality of player he is. Don't expect that number to change very much.

His shooting at 79 needs help but looking at current scoring form we don't expect this to increase much and could in fact drop lower at 77. Defending isn't his or Arsenal's strong suit and at 54 that's quite a liability. His passing could jump to 82 with creative players around while physicality should stay where it is at 70.

Mkhitaryan currently has 4-star skill moves in FIFA 18 which is identical to that of Alexis Sanchez and one would not expect this to reduce or increase owing to the fact that his skills are clear as day to anyone who watches the game. His weak foot is actually a 5-star as per the game and this could come in handy if he plays a more central role at the Emirates.

All in all, even though he might take a while to get used to his new role in a new team around new fans and a brand new manager, this move to the Emirates could revitalize the career of Mkhitaryan and give him a new lease of life. For FUT fans, they might want to keep an eye on this Armenian talisman.
