Thomas Muller picks dream FIFA 18 XI, drops FC Bayern teammate for Man Utd superstar
The German forward's selection could easily become the quintessence of a 'perfect XI'.
What's the story?
Thomas Muller, the German footballer who is the vice-captain of the German national team as well as Bayern Munich, recently talked about what he thinks would constitute the Best XI team in FIFA 18. The forward is known for his killer moves on the pitch and a perpetual sense of awareness with the ball, and now he will be known for assembling together an insane 'Best XI'. The Bayern Munich forward has also included some legends in an attack-oriented formation of 3-4-3.
In case you didn't know
FIFA 18 launched on 29th September and with tons of features to get you hooked, for probably the next 2 months of your life, if not more. The more celebrated and sought-after features include the FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT), and you get to assemble the best XI players to have yourself a kick-ass squad. These features aren't being used only by the fans or followers of football, but also the footballers who are depicted in the EA game series, and in this case, Thomas Muller.
Heart of the story
Muller has chosen his perfect XI in FIFA 18, and there is a high probability that people all over the world will now look to copy his selection of players if they aren't doing it already. In an attack-heavy formation of 3-4-3, Muller has included Ronaldo (rated 94) and Messi (rated 94) to play on both of the wings of Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic (rated 88) in the middle. Incidentally, his teammate at Bayern and the second highest-rated striker in FIFA 18, Robert Lewandowski, fails to make the cut.
It is fascinating to see that Muller didn't include himself in the attack, but he placed himself right behind the strikers in the midfield. Although not in attacking line, Muller will prove to be a great part of the mid-field, considering his special 99-rated card. Muller has chosen FIFA legends Pele and Diego Maradona to play by his side, along with Bastian Schweinsteiger, who is Muller's former Bayern and Germany team-mate, to complete the legendary mid-field. Muller's high defence ratings could definitely come handy a little back in the field.
If the attack and midfield haven't already intimidated you, have a look at the defensive line-up. The German forward chose an all-Bayern defence line with David Alaba (rated 86), Mats Hummels (rated 88) and Joshua Kimmich (rated 81) to play in front of FIFA 18's highest rated goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer (rated 92).
Apart from this, the bench also could make the news for having the most legendary players on it. The bench includes Jerome Boateng, Julian Draxler and PSG superstar Neymar.
With such a line-up, it's not too smart to think that Muller's best XI can be beaten easily. If you for some reason think, that Muller's best XI isn't good enough, or that perhaps you could outrun his players, you are free to try it in FIFA 18. One can play against Muller's best XI, called Team Es Muellert, in Squad Battles mode in FIFA Ultimate Team.
Muller has indeed redefined the word 'Best XI' for all the FIFA 18 players out there. It will definitely be a challenge for people to step up their game when going against Team Es Muellert.
