Final Fantasy XV demo will be blocked from Share Play

Final Fantasy XV final map will be ten times bigger than the Duscae region

Final Fantasy Director, Hajime Tabata, has revealed a ton of new info on the upcoming Final Fantasy XV at this week’s Active Time Report. One of the more important pieces of information revealed by Tabata is regarding the Final Fantasy XV demo, which will be blocked from the PlayStation 4’s Share Play feature. Tabata explained that the demo was not representative of the final version of the game, which is why they had to block Share Play. So plays who are eager to try out the demo will simply have to purchase a copy of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.

Tabata also went into more detail on the games potential map size. He explained that the demo only showcases a small portion of the Duscae region. The final version of the Duscae region will consist of more towns, cities and ruins for players to explore. What’s more exciting is that the entire game map will be ten times bigger than the Duscae region itself. This means that the demo covers a very small portion of entire map. According to a report by DualShockers, that’s about 1.6 square miles in size, which is pretty decent for a demo.

Tabata also stated that the “end is in sight” in terms of the games development. Square Enix had revealed earlier they have now completed about 60 percent of the game. So this must mean that the development for Final Fantasy XV is nearly complete.

A copy of the Final Fantasy XV demo will be included in the first shipment copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. The game is slated to release on March 17th for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
