GTA online servers down for maintenance due to connectivity issues

Players have been facing connectivity issues since the Heist update

GTA Online servers have been facing some major connectivity issues after the release of the highly anticipated Heist update this week. The servers have since stabilized with Rockstar Games stating that they have restored “full access” to GTA Online. But many players are still finding it hard to connect to the games servers as well as save their mission progress while playing online.

Rockstar have now reported that their servers are down for maintenance, which is slated to last for three hours. It seems like they will be restarting the servers. Hopefully this will fix some of the connectivity issues that players have been facing. Here is their statement on the server support page:

“GTA Online, Social Club, and Rockstar Cloud Services are currently down for maintenance, and are expected to return in about 3 hours. Please stay tuned for updates.”

The official Rockstar support site had stated earlier that the servers were ‘limited’ across all platforms. The only service not affected by this was Rockstar’s Social Club. Many users on r/gtaonline have been complaining about the games connectivity issues and how they are unable to save their missions. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. This is likely due to the large influx of players, who are all eager to try out the games Heist feature.
