Hyrule Warriors has shipped 1 million units worldwide

Hyrule Warriors

There have been a number of DLC received by Hyrule Warriors that was launched just over five months ago in the US for the Wii U.

It may have seemed strange at first for mashing The Legend Of Zelda franchise with Dynasty Warriors but it has proven to be a critical success and it now appears that the game has also been a huge success on the sales part for both Koei Tecmo and Nintendo.

It has been informed from Koei Tecmo that Hyrule Warriors has officially shipped over one million copies of the game worldwide. Siliconera points out that the US was likely the majority of the sales and that the US sold 190,000 in the first week, while Japan only managed to sell 100,000 in the first month of release.

Another part of the information tells us that eShop sales also weigh in, since this is considered units shipped and not sold.

This has proven to be very impressive for a game that was not considered well at first. And now, there are rumors that there will be other mash-ups such as Mario Warriors in the future.
