Joe Montana 16 may be released this year and it may challenge EA’s Madden 16 for the spot in American football games.
Joe Montana tweeted out a screenshot of the game that is being developed using the Unreal 4 engine. The logo of the game can be seen at the bottom right corner of the screenshot.
The fact that Joe Montana 16 is an unlicensed NFL video game and that EA has an exclusive deal with the NFL to make officially licensed American Football video games does not seem to be a problem at all. Madden 16 is expected to come out later this year.
Many expect that Joe Montana 16 will have fake or old players given that only Madden 16 is allowed to have all the real-life players and teams from the NFL.
There are no official details other than this screenshot. There were rumours that suggested that the game would be an Xbox exclusive and that 2k Games was involved. However, these details have yet to be officially confirmed.
