Killing Floor 2 introduces groundbreaking reload animations at 200 frames-per-second

American video game developer Tripwire Interactive have released a preview of the many weapons and features of their upcoming release Killing Floor 2.

The highlight of the preview was undoubtedly the game’s weapons reload animations, which were confirmed, by Tripwire president John Gibson, to be shot at 200 frames-per-second in a departure from the average 30-frames-per-second. The wonderful reloading feature can be seen in all its glory when players activate the game’s “Zed Time” slow motion feature.

Killing Floor 2 offers various weapon and grenade combinations at the beginning of the game. For example, the commando will begin with an AR-15 assault rifle, as compared to the support classes whose first weapon of choice will be a shotgun.

The video below throws some more light on the game’s weapons and perks.

Killing Floor 2, which is set in Europe, picks up barely a month after the climax of its predecessor, during which people turned into monsters due to the outbreak of a deadly virus.

Killing Floor 2 hits stores this year, and will be available on Windows and Playstation 4 platforms.
