Neverwinter: Element Evil expansion has been delayed to April 7th

Element Evil will include an increased level cap and a new playable class

Cyrptic Studios have announced that the upcoming Neverwinter: Element Evil Expansion has now been delayed to April 7th. Deemed as the “biggest expansion launch for Neverwinter to-date”, Element Evil was originally scheduled to release on March 17th.

The new ‘module’ is set to include a brand new playable class known as the ‘Oathbound Paladin’, as well as an increased level cap from 60 to 70. It will also feature a cameo from Baldur’s Gate character Minsc and his pet hamster Boo. Too bad fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the new expansion. Heres what executive producer, Rob Overmeyer, had to say about the delay:

"When we first announced Neverwinter: Elemental Evil in January, our team was excited to introduce the community to our biggest expansion launch for Neverwinter to-date. With our efforts to revamp nearly all of our in-game systems, including the introduction of the level cap increase and the new Oathbound Paladin class, our plan was more ambitious than we had anticipated.

"Our Neverwinter team wants to ensure that we deliver our promise of a high quality expansion, and in order to do so, we need a few more weeks to fine tune the Neverwinter: Elemental Evil experience. Consequently, we have made the decision to delay the launch of Neverwinter: Elemental Evil to April 7."

Neverwinter is a free-to-play MMORPG from Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios that is available now for the PC and the Xbox One.
