New version of Stonehearth now available for download

Stonehearth Alpha 9 will feature new combat scenarios

Radiant Entertainment’s sandbox strategy game, Stonehearth, has now received a new version on Steam. This development team has been quite busy preparing the game for its official Alpha 9 launch and they have now decided to introduce the new build via Steam’s latest branch option. This in turn allows them to find bugs and glitches, as well test the new content before the official Alpha 9 launch. Players can download the latest build right now.

The Alpha 9 version will be available once the new content has been tested. It is also the first to include both a 32-bit and 64-bit client versions for Steam. Other features to be added with this version are: ability to loot/steal items, new harvesting commands, and combat rebalance. As for the games combat scenarios, the goblins will now have to ability to organize themselves into structured raiding camps. The campaign is still kind of rough but it gives players a fair idea of what’s to come.

Lastly, the Alpha 9 version will also contain an early glimpse of the fan requested shop system. Here’s what the developers had to say about the system: “Travelling merchants will visit your town every now and then. You can sell your excess inventory for gold, and use that gold to buy from all merchants.”

Stonehearth received its Alpha 7 patch in January this year. You can check out the details here.
