No blood in Tekken 7

Tekken 7

Bandai Namco has decided that Tekken 7 will not feature blood. This is being done so that the game does not receive a mature rating.

A curious fan was wondering if Tekken 7 will see fighters get scratches, dirt and water all over them when they fight. Tekken 7’s director, Katsuhiro Harada, answered the fan’s question on popular social networking site, Twitter.

“Dirt, Water, Sweat. No blood because rating problem for arcade.”

It looks like Bandai Namco is going to take a page out of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round that featured dirt, water and a bit of sweat, but no blood. This level of detailing would look great given that the game runs on the Unreal Engine 4.

The fan had also asked if there were going to be cuts to clothing in Tekken 7. However, no reply had been given to the question. It looks like the clothing will remain same no matter the outcome of the fight.

The series has never been as violent as Mortal Kombat so it would be a good idea to assume that blood will not be featured in Tekken.

Tekken 7 will eventually be released for the PS4 and Xbox One. A PC release has not been confirmed as of now.
