Pokken Tournament gets a new gameplay trailer

Pokken Tournament will be releasing sometime this year

The much anticipated Pokken Tournament was revealed last year, after many gamers had speculated about the game’s existence. The new title from Nintendo and Bandai Namco is a glorious mash up of Pokemon and Tekken style arcade fighting game that will feature the a few series beloved Pokemons kicking some serious butt. Bandai Namco has now launched a new gameplay trailer for the game that showcases these characters in action.

Many thought that the game will only consist of Fighting Type Pokemon, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. According to the newest trailer, the game will feature various Pokemons, regardless of the type. Banda Namco is set on making this title a fully fledged Pokemon style fighting game that operates less like Super Smash Bros and more like Tekken.

The trailer showcases two of the first Pokemon’s that were revealed for the game, namely Lucario, Machamp. It also features some of the recently announced Pokemon’s like Pikachu, Gardevoir and Suicune fighting it out with some cool moves. Lastly, the trailer gives us a glimpse of assist Pokemon’s like Lapras and Cyndaquil.

Pokken Tournament should be out in arcades sometime this year. Bandai Namco has not announced a western release date yet, but hopefully they will soon. You can check out the cool new trailer for Pokken Tournament below:
