Oddworld Inhabitants have treated us to some good news today. They have confirmed that Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, their remake of the original Oddworld game will hit the stores on March 27th. This game however will be an Xbox One exclusive.
Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be launched via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program and we will be able to watch while the main character Abe making his Xbox One debut. This is the first Oddworld title that will be released on Xbox since Stranger’s Wrath back in 2005. The game is developed by Just Add Water and is a remake of the 1997 classic Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee. The game boasts improved graphics and enhanced audio the team has aimed to make only a few changes to the much-adored gameplay.
The story revolves around Abe, a simple Mudokon; who discovers what truly happens behind the scenes at the meat factory he works in. Abe learns that all the Mudokon workers including himself are soon to be on the menu. This is where the game begins. Abe decides to make a run for it as he tries to escape RuptureFarms and save as many of his fellow workers along the way.
Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be available to download from the Xbox One Games Store on March 27 for $19.99, €19.99 and £14.99.
