It is remoured that a new possible release date for Halo 5: Guardians may have been leaked. According to a recent listing on Amazon Spain, the game will be out as early as September 10th, 2015. A redditor had noticed the listing on the site, which states that releasing in September. This is around the same time that MMOFPS Destiny came out last year.
A September release date may be a good decision for Microsoft, as it will be ahead of the huge Fall 2015 lineup which includes titles like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This way, the game will avoid competitions from major releases such as Call of Duty and highly anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront. Microsoft launched Halo 3 in the month of September as well, which has now become the best selling game in the entire Halo series.
Sadly, the Amazon listing was only a temporary one and has now reverted back to the original December 31st release date. Z-Giochi.com even posted a screenshot of the listing showing the September release date for the game. So this could indicate that the listing may have been wrong. Either way, it is better wait for an official confirmation from Microsoft.
