Sachin Saga: 5 most hilarious names in the cricket game

Sir Donald
Sir Donald Bradman

Sachin Saga Cricket Championship is the latest cricket game that was released a couple days back on both Android and iOS. The beta version of the game was launched on 9th October and fans have been eagerly waiting for the game to launch globally.

The player names have been purposely misspelt because of copyright issues. Here are the 5 funniest misspelt names in Sachin Saga.

5. Sir Donald Bradman (Don Bratman)

The legendary Australian batsman who goes by the Don Bradman has been intentionally misspelt as Don Bratman. Funnily enough, Brat is a derogatory term used to describe a spoilt child, which is quite the opposite of Bradman's nature.

#4 Mitchell Marsh (M Mars)

MIt
Mitch Marsh

Hailing from Australia, Mitchell Marsh is one of the upcoming all-rounders. He plays limited overs cricket as well as Test cricket. On 15th February 2016, Mitchell Marsh became the second bowler since Jason Gillespie to dismiss Brendon McCullum in both the innings of a Test match. Since then, Marsh's form has been below par and has been dropped from the Australian side quite often.

The Australian all-rounder has been on the receiving end of another funny name, Marsh has been given the surname Mars. Mitchell Mars as funny as it may sound is a commonly misspelt name in many cricket games. Mars is actually the name of the plant which has absolutely zero relation to cricket, but the game developers just did not come up with anything better.

#3 Alex Hales (A Halesh)

Alex Hales
Alex Hales

A destructive English opener, Alex Hales quickly gained popularity courtesy his exploits in the shorter formats of the game, particularly in T20s. Hales holds the unwanted record of being the first batsman to be dismissed on 99 in both T20's and ODI's. He also holds the record of being the only English batsman to score a century in T20's.

One of the funniest names in the game is that of Alex Hales. The English batsman's name has been brutally murdered by the game developers. Anyone with a Hindi accent will find the misspelt name to be quite funny. Misspelling Alex Hales as Alex Halesh funnier than Rahul Dravid getting rated lower than Chris Gayle.

#2 Ross Taylor (R Tailor)

Tay
Taylor

Ross Taylor has been one of New Zealand's most consistent batsman over the years, he recently became the quickest New Zealand batsman to score 6,000 runs when NZ toured South Africa earlier this year.

The New Zealander's name has been funnily misspelt as Tailor instead of Taylor. Tailor incidentally means a person whose occupation is making clothes. Perhaps a pun from the commentators is also required, who the 'Tailor-makes' an innings to bail the Black Caps out of trouble. Again, his name is not even remotely related to cricket, Ross Taylor's misspelt name is one of the funniest names in the game.

#1 Rohit Sharma (R Shwarma)

R
Rohit Sharma

The Indian opener who just scored his third double century against Sri Lanka probably has the funniest name in Sachin Saga Cricket Champions. Rohit Sharma became the only player to score three double centuries in ODI cricket when he scored an unbeaten 208. His highest ODI score, as well as the highest individual score in ODI cricket, is 264.

Rohit Sharma's name has been hilariously misspelled as R Shwarma. his surname in the game also happens to be a famous middle eastern food item which has zero relevance to cricket. The game developers have done an amazing job at making Rohit's name as funny as possible.
