Square Enix president teases about "diverse and strong" lineup for 2015

Square Enix had some pretty decent releases in 2014 with new games like Bravely Default and remasters such as Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. But their 2015 line-up of games looks even more impressive with two new games set to release in the first half of the year.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be launching for the PS4 sometime soon. But besides this, Square Enix has teased about some possible new games in a special New Year’s letter from their president Yosuke Matsuda.

In his New Year’s letter, Matsuda has revealed that the studio has a “diverse and strong” lineup of games which will be either announced or released in 2015.

“Our diverse and strong upcoming lineup, from Blockbuster games to LIVE games will be either announced or released to our customers around the world. We will also continue to work with utmost effort for further expansion of sales channel via download and cloud technology to deliver our content in the optimum form for each of our customers.”

Matsuda has also stated that the Studio’s plans to focus, this time, on Blockbuster games and LIVE games. He has defined LIVE games as those which are focused on smartphones, tablets, online and arcade though Blockbuster titles will continue to be an integral part of Square Enix.

Fans are still hoping that the much anticipated Final Fantasy XV will release in 2015, which could be a possibility going by the New Years letter. But even so it would probably only release in Japan this year.

Square Enix also recently revealed a special limited edition Final Fantasy Type-0 HD PS4 console.
