Stainless Glass reveals release date and announcement trailer for Carmageddon: Reincarnation

Carmageddon: Reincarnation

Stainless Games upcoming fourth vehicular combat title, Carmageddon: Reincarnation, had managed to gather over $625,000 in Kickstarter funds three years ago. The game then went live on Steam Early Access, and nearly a year later it is finally ready for release.

The final version of Carmageddon: Reincarnation is slated to release in April and will include a career mode with 16 chapters, each of which will consist of three to four events. This makes a total of 50 events for players to complete. It will also include LAN and online multiplayer support for up to eight players at a time.

A total of 24 vehicles to featured in the game

The game will feature 24 vehicles (25 if you were a Kickstarter backer), 36 race routes, 9 maps, more than 80 power ups and 6 different event types namely- Car Crusher, Classic Carmageddon, Ped Chase, Fox n hounds, Death Race and Checkpoint Stampede.

Here is the studios statement on the games release:

"We're delighted to announce that the game will soon be going gold, and on April 23 it'll be showered in all its Steamy golden glory upon an eagerly waiting world!.”

The team have also released a launch announcement trailer which is pretty hilarious with all its car smashing, pedestrian killing action. The cars themselves feature some crazy modifications such as rocket propellers. The trailer sort of proves that the Carmageddon series has not its unique humour and style.

Carmageddon: Reincarnation is slated to release on April 23rd for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can also purchase the Early Access version on Steam. This also includes the Carmageddon Classic Collection. You can check out the announcement trailer below:
