WWE 2K15 missing match types will not be included in future updates

WWE 2K15 Roster

One of the biggest criticisms of WWE 2K15 is the fact that the game was missing a lot of match types which were present in the previous edition. These include the popular Creation Mode, Handicap Matches and Steel Cage. Players have since been requesting 2K Games to add these types back to WWE 2K15 but it looks like this will not be happening.

The Pro Wrestling Radio Torch show interviewed two members from the games developers Visual Concepts. The duo spoke about a lot of topics, including the missing match types on 2K15. They stated that the reason for the exclusion of these types was because of the games physics.

According to the developers, the PS4 and Xbox versions of the game had very different physics compared to the previous edition. The result was that some match types did not translate well on the games new physics engine. They explained that future versions of the game will include many more match types but that will not be the case with the current game 2K15.

The match types will not be patched in future updates for the game either. The duo has said that future patches will only include bug fixes and the likes but not match types. The team is instead turning their focus on the upcoming 2K Showcase storylines which should be available in time for WrestleMania season.

The developers also stated that the attire for 2K15 wrestlers will not be updated, as they expect players to create these on their own using the Community Creations mode. The mode allows players to create and update attires for their wrestlers, unlike in NBA 2K15, where official patches update character attires automatically.
