Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will not include the original Japanese voice track

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will be releasing on April 10th for the Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo’s Xenoblade Chronicles eventually made its way to US shores on 6th April, 2012, almost two years after its release in Japan. And fans who did get to experience the game absolutely adored it, which is why many have been so hyped about the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for the New Nintendo 3DS. The interest in the game grew after gamers were introduced to series protagonist, Shulk, in the recent Super Smash Bros title. But while Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is still the same game, it is still missing one key feature that the original game possessed, which is the Japanese voice track.

The original Xenoblade Chronicles offered players the option of choosing between the Japanese or English voice acting during the games playthroughs. This is a common feature with any Japanese RPG title, but it looks like the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will be excluding the Japanese voice track entirely. This may be due to space limitations on the 3DS cartridge.

Gamers who prefer the original voice acting will probably be disappointed with this decision, but there is very little that can be done about it. Besides, most fans are just happy that the game will be making its way the Western countries, and a missing voice track is a small price to pay for that.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is slated to release on April 10th, exclusively for the New Nintendo 3DS. You can check out the trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles X here.
