Bayern FC Transfer News : BFC Signs Boateng

About time, isn’t it? Bayern and Manchester City finally agreed on a transfer fee (apparently £12m, that’s a bit more than €13.5m) for the German center back who spent most of his professional career playing as a right-back.

Boateng left his home town Berlin for Hamburg in 2007 as a talent and left Hamburg for Manchester last year as a U-20 champion and World Cup semifinalist. Injuries and City being stacked on defense made it difficult for him to become a regular. Since Boateng wants to be a center back and that’s almost impossible in Manchester with Vincent Kompany, Joleon Lescott and Kolo Toure being his teammates, he made it obvious that he’d like to leave for Munich where his chances to become a first-choice CB are bigger.
