Match Preview - MUFC vs Fulham

Manchester United play the first of two successive Premier League games on a Monday night, as they face Fulham at Old Trafford looking to ensure they are top of the table by the end of the game week.
Rivals- Man City- know that a draw or a win at Stoke will take them back to the top of the table, leaving United needing only a win to guarantee they are at the top by Monday night.
United have been in stunning form as of late in the league, unbeaten in their last nine games, winning eight of them. The only dropped points came when a 3-0 deficit was clawed back at Chelsea.
Fulham come into the game in some mixed form, losing two games on the spin after a three game winning streak. The Cottagers have only won two games away from home this season, in 14 attempts.
Michael Owen, Anderson, Nemanja Vidic and Darren Fletcher are all still out for the champions, and winger Nani is also likely to miss out because he isn’t fit yet.
However, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are likely to be in contention after featuring for the reserves, while Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Paul Pogba will again play some part for the third game in a row.
Fulham suffered a small setback after Steve Sidwell was ruled out for a further month through injury, while Orlando Sa and Zdenek Grygera are both still out. Danny Murphy and Damian Duff are in contention to start.
Manchester United face Fulham for the first time since they beat them last time out in the League winning 5-0 with Danny Welbeck, Nani, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov all scoring for the Reds at Craven Cottage.
Sir Alex Ferguson comments on how crucial three points are:
“Every game is must-win now, which is no issue for me. I have been used to that for years. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going.”
