About Bangabandhu T20 Cup 2020

Bangabandhu T20 Cup 2020 will be played from 24 November to 18 December 2020. The tournament will feature five teams playing a total of 24 matches among them.

The teams are:

  1. Beximco Dhaka
  2. Fortune Barishal
  3. Gazi Group Chattogram
  4. Gemcon Khulna
  5. Minister Group Rajshahi


The players’ draft for Bangabandhu T20 Cup took place on 20 November 2020. Each team selected a squad of 16 members. Some of the star picks were Musfiqur Rahim (Beximco Dhaka), Shakib Al Hasan (Gemcon Khulna), Tamim Iqbal (Fortune Barishal), Mustafizur Rahman(Gazi group Chattogram) and Mohammad Ashraful (Minister Group Rajshahi).


The fixtures were released by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on 15 November. The tournament will kick-off with an encounter between Beximco Dhaka and Minister Group Rajshahi. All the matches will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

Two matches will be held each day in the competition with a rest day in between. The matches will begin at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM IST. All the teams will play each other twice in the group stage. The Playoffs will be played on 14 and 15 December and the competition will conclude with the Final on 18 December.
