About PAK vs NZ

New Zealand is all set to tour Pakistan for the first time in a span of more than 20 years since May 2002. Both sides will be first seen in action on 26th December 2022 to play the first Test of the 2-match series. This contest will be a part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship. After the completion of the longest format, the teams will lock horns in a 3-match ODI series.

New Zealand travelled to Pakistan last year as well, but cancelled the series just hours before the start of the first match due to security concerns. However, cricket is gradually making its comeback in the Asian country as they hosted Australia, and England recently. The hosts faced a tough time on both the occasions after they were defeated by the Aussies 1-0 and the English 3-0 in the respective Test series.

The challenge which comes next in front is the big one as they go up against the defending World Test Champions, New Zealand. Tim Southee will lead the Blackcaps in the Test series after Kane Williamson stepped down from the captaincy in the red-ball format last week. However, Williamson will be the skipper in the ODI format against Pakistan.

The first Test will be played at the National Stadium of Karachi, after which the teams will move to Multan Cricket Stadium for the second Test in Multan. All the ODI games are scheduled to be played at the National Stadium in Karachi.

The live telecast of the New Zealand tour of Pakistan will be available on the Sony Ten 2 TV channel, while the Sony Liv app and website will be the place for the live streaming of all matches. The Test matches will get going from 10:30 AM IST and the ODI’s will begin at 3:00 PM IST.
